I bought this for a tv without cable. Didn't use it for awhile when I got cable hookups in every room. Now am using it again for fm reception. It's definitely better than nothing for that particular radio, providing twice as many channels. But the weakest ones are still very staticky, so I'm looking to upgrade. This one is rather larger and bulky, with the big rabbit ears. But, it's also lightweight and easy to move around. The cable is about 5', and is attached. It's coaxial, so you need that input or an adapter depending on what you might attach it to.
